Zatarra Abroad, my photobook SoFoBoMo 2012, is completed and done.
The main idea behind this photo book was to write down 35 words and to take a photo in relation to each word.
I took the opportunity of one travel to my hometown to achieve, yet, what I consider, one of the best SoFoBoMo so far that I have done.
Since June 2012, I have been searching here and there, not just for a subject, but for a better way to actually produce a better book. In the past years that I have published my books, the hardest past was to put the book together and make it interesting to look at. In my search, I came across the progam Lightroom which basically is a ‘library’ all indexed of my photos. This program gives the opportunity to classify the photos taken here and there a regroup them into sets, sleves, etc… just like a library would do with books. It has many other options and possibilities but for me, the fact that version 4 came up with a module Photobook was a bonus.
In the past with my other SoFoBoMo done, I used Microsoft word to put them together but it was a very long process as that program is not user friendly when it comes to align photos.
For the editing of the photos, this year, I stepped away from Photoshop and use the application Snapseed. It was a bit intimidating at the beginning but when I saw all the possibilities the program could offer me, I was hooked.
