Category Archives: Hot Process Soap

Hot Process Soap is basically the process of mixing all the ingredients in a pot and putting it in the oven for 1h30 in the 200F oven, mixing every 15 minutes. Using the maximum of water in the recipe according to MMS, giving the soap an extra wetness to it and giving me the chance to work with it. After 1h30, did the tongue test and it was ready (no more lye alive in it). You then add colors, fragrance and all, drop the mix in molds and let it cold. The soap is then, ready to use right away.

Weekend homemade bread with Zoe Francois

Weekend homemade bread

I love this photo, taken this morning, in the “Aurore of the day”…, using my Android phone with the option of depth of field on.  Depth of field is a great option, that does put in focus the photo in the right place, either bringing up front the bread (foreground) or at the back (background) of the photo.

When using the depth of field at the back (background), the foreground of the photo becomes off focus by itself.  I just love this new toy!

This “weekend bread” was made using this simple recipe from Zoe Francois‘ book (which I love by the way) and I just added cut up black olives, grated Parmesan cheese and capers (unripened flower buds) the the main recipe.

A lovely bread, great eating with lambs.
