handbag and a girl
There is just something mysterious about a handbag. I mean, a bag that could contain an endless of things, from garbage stuffs to very important stuffs for us girls!
I am not a ‘handbag person’, not at all but I love to look at them, to touch and to appreciate the art that has been involved in making a piece of design for each one of them.
When I was living in Mexico, almost every week I would stop by my favorite store and just look around those precious great designs of handbags. Most of them were copies of copies but oh they were all so beautiful and just smartly made.
I left Mexico with some of them, of course. Who can stop a girl with a passion for handbags.
The same thing is happening here, in China. I just cannot stop of looking at great handbags when I see them and what is the worst of this is : every time I walk to my grocery store here, I have to cross a section in the shopping center, that is full of handbags. Needless to say that each season, just to tease me, they change the display. So this morning, out of nowhere, that handbag came jumping into my view. I mean, literally jumping on me.

That handbag I saw here was the same one I saw, back in the summer of 2009, in the arm of another girl.
That handbag was made out of recycle fabric from those huge ‘lazy boy recliner chairs’ that each house had, back in the old days. A company had been created with young designers and they were making very pretty handbags that looked like what I would call a ‘sleeve’ of a bag.
Those handbags are about 11” by 11”, when they are open, flat. The top part has a zipper that connects to a huge full size inside pocket. Another independant smaller pocket is smartly placed on the inside of the handbag, completely independant from the big pocket. The handbag is pretty simple you would say but there is just something amazing I find about this design. Plain, simple and yet, so smart looking. It could go from day handbag to a ‘night out’ handbag just like that.

The day handbag look could be used full size, loading items from the top zipper and just wearing the handbag full size on your shoulder, with the detachable strap included.
Purse for the evening
For the ‘night out look’, empty the big pocket from the top zipper and use only the inside zipper to fill up the bag so that way, the handbag folds in half and become an evening purse.
And the bonus in that handbag : it is black!
