Let me introduce you to my plastic food : Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, the blue box! We all have a weirdo food somewhere, stacked at the back of our pantry, just for us. Me, it is the blue box, this one.
The very original Kraft Mac and Cheese… some people call it the plastic food of all. Me, I just love this food. Cook the noodles, drain the water, add the butter (always more than what the recipe is telling us), some milk and the envelope of that very chemical yellow powder they call : cheese. Oh this is so good, with a lot of black pepper on top.
Last week, in my never-ending search for experiencing something new, I stumbled upon this kind of sandwich made with Mac and Cheese. So I just made it.
Basically, it is a grill cheese sandwich, the basic one made with two slices of bread, butter and cheese trapped inside, grilled on the stove and serve hot. Me, for the filling, I use my Macaroni and Cheese to make it more interesting. So here we have it, the ultimate grill sandwich. Actually, it is pretty good. Grilled buttery bread from the outside and dripping down cheese over the macaroni, trapped inside. Pretty good!
Now, I might have been in China for too long now… loving this kind of food…!
