Well, I had to do something with this soap…
This soap was made last November, 08, 2008 and I ran into problems with the fragrance oil right from the start.
The soap came out fully oily and with a crumbly top. After many months of sleeping in the dark, this soap was still too oily. The smell is wonderful, don’t take me wrong here but oh boy, is it ever greasy still to the touch, so much that I could not wrap it, the oil would just shows up on the wrapping paper.
Being the ever practical soapmaker on a budget, I knew the day would come that I would rebatch this one so I did it today.
The soap is wonderful in fragrance and once it is wet but not very nice to the touch and noway I could sale this one, I would not use it myself. So here is a picture of this ‘I will pinch your cheeks’ soaps, re-batched. I just love the background of hard rocks, almost a part of this hard soap. Of course, it lost its gorgeous red color but that was the price to pay to save this beauty living inside this nightmare. The blue spots are coming from left over ‘Waterside’ soaps.
